Quit the App
This is the simplest way to fix the issue. Quit the app by double clicking the home button. An “all open” or “active” apps will display. Remember to close the Facebook app before trying this option. Launch the Facebook app once again by clicking on the Facebook icon.
Do a hard reset in case of iPhone
If you are using an iPhone, hard reset by holding down the sleep/wake and home buttons simultaneously for at-least 5-10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Now your phone will shut down and restart automatically. Open the app and see if the issue is resolved.
Update the Facebook app
Make sure that you are using the latest version of Facebook app. Go to the app store and check for any updates. If you find out that you are using an older version and a latest update is available, download and install it.
Delete the Facebook app and install it again
to delete the current Facebook app, hold your finder onto the Facebook app icon and wait till other apps start to jiggle. Select the “X” icon to delete the Facebook app. Now download latest version of Facebook app again from the store. After downloading and installation, login your Facebook account information and check if the issue remains the same or it is solved.

to make sure that you are using the latest software for your device, go to the settings and click on the general tab. Find out that you have updated your phone to the latest iOS.
Clearing out the memory
To create an extra space on your device, go to settings and then general. Click on iPhone storage and check the available space. If you find that the space is very low, delete the apps, photos, videos or music that are no longer needed. Now check your Facebook app, it should be running smoothly now.
