“Mozilla Firefox Critical error” is basically a scam alert distributed by cyber criminals which is displayed by a red screen alert on Mozilla Firefox web browser. The aim of this scam is to trick people into calling for tricksters and getting their personal information. They ask the victim to install a third-party app. The user thinks that the PC is targeted by hackers or is infected with Trojan horse.

The users with less technical knowledge often fall into this scam. This error may be due to two reasons one is that the PC’S owner has accessed a compromised website infected with a malware or the user has installed an adware. The error code appears on the top of the red screen which is (0XKB6301092, 0XKB1546764, 0xKB3078168) in the form of an Authentication request pop-up and provides a technical support number. The authentication request pop-up will also ask for your username and password. In the end, they will get access to your personal account.

And if you call for support, it is more dangerous. The hackers ask about your personal information, and can access your PC remotely. To keep yourself away from this scam, ignore any information on pop-up.

Method to fix Mozilla Firefox Critical Error

You will cannot close the web browser by clicking the X button a it is a scam. In order to terminate the pop-up, press Ctrl+ Alt+ Delete. Open “Windows Task manager” and look for Mozilla Firefox from the list. Click on Mozilla Firefox and select “End Task”.

Once Mozilla Firefox is closed, remove the Mozilla Firefox Critical ERROR adware. You can remove the Mozilla Firefox adware with the help of any powerful anti-malware tool and you can also do it manually by accessing “Programs & features”.

If you find that the Critical error is due to a recent adware, anti-malware will not recognize it. You will have to check the list of programs manually with the help of below steps:

  • Press Windows key + I to open Apps section. This is for Windows 10.
  • For users with an earlier version of Windows- navigate to Control panel and go to programs and features.

  • select the unwanted program and “uninstall”.

Now reset Mozilla Firefox to prevent pop-up from appearing again and again. To reset Mozilla Firefox, open the Mozilla Firefox’s website and press refresh button. Or you can follow below steps:

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox and click on menu icon.
  2. Now type about: support in the address bar and press enter. This will open Troubleshooting information page.
  3. Tap on refresh Firefox button and refresh Firefox again on the confirmation window.
  4. Click on “Finish” and restart the browser.
